< Development of the technologies for transplantation and functional analysis of the bioengineered organs >

We have been studying whether the bioengineered tooth is developing and functioning in the alveolar bone in the lost tooth region. In this study, we revealed that the bioengineered tooth, which was erupted and occluded, is not only functional as tooth, but also in cooperation with other oral and maxillofacial tissues and connecting with nerves. We are continuing to analyze the transplanted bioengineered tooth for long term observation, and developing the technology to shorten the terms for bioengineering the tooth.
